RPGs Coming This Week, 7/6/25

Our quiet July continues in this edition of RPGs Coming This Week. It seems there aren’t as many games releasing this month, even outside the scope of RPGFan. Anyway, it took a little more digging than usual, but I managed to unearth some potential treasures for us. Let’s get down to business, shall we?

The Last Sanctum (Entering Early Access) – July 10th (Windows)

If you like your fantasy settings dark and moody, The Last Sanctum may be what you’re looking for. Brought to us by Turkish developer Anomalybyte Studio, this tactical RPG takes place in a bleak, ruined world infested by shadowy entities. As an amnesiac spirit tuner known as the Collector, players need to recruit souls and assemble a team to fight back against the nightmare creatures. Gradually, you’ll recover memories of your identity and what screwed the world up so bad.

A demo is available now on Steam. The Last Sanctum is launching in early access, but the developers say the price will not change when the game eventually graduates. Commendable.

Lost Infinity – July 12th (Windows, macOS)

The grim vibes continue with Lost Infinity, a visual novel from Kazakhstan-based studio Void Echo. The trailer above oozes style, with the electronica music and the very striking visuals. What’s it about? Well, the Steam description doesn’t reveal much. You play as Faith, who wakes up one evening and, compelled by an unknown desire, steps out of their apartment to discover the corpse of a beautiful woman. Lost Infinity looks to explore themes of dystopia and alienation. It’s something different, that’s for sure, and I’m pretty interested in finding out more about it.

Also Coming This Week

Bad End Theater – July 10th (PS5, PS4, XSX, XB1, Switch)

Bad End Theater is a visual novel with multiple protagonists to choose from and branching paths towards many, many endings. It came out on PC back in 2021, and now it’s coming to consoles.

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster – July 10th (PS5, PS4, XSX, XB1, Switch)

An addendum is in order. Developer Nightdive Studios announced, after we posted our column covering the game’s release that week, that the console launch for System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster would be pushed back to July 10th. The PC release came out as planned on June 26th, but if you were planning to grab this on PS, Xbox, or Switch, you had to wait a little longer.
