Coming off the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, I just want to say one word to you. Just one word. Are you listening?

Ports.

Notwithstanding the likes of Monster Hunter Stories 3 and Octopath Traveler 0, it looks like a good chunk of the Nintendo Switch 2’s third-party support in its first few months will be re-releases. I’m not complaining; the wider the availability, the better, in my opinion. So here’s a quick roundup of all the RPG ports announced during the Direct!

Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload is coming to the Switch 2 on October 23rd, in digital and physical form… with a few caveats. According to GamesRadar+, the 2024 RPG by ATLUS will be releasing as a game-key card (i.e., a download code in a cartridge), and the Episode Aigis -The Answer- expansion will be sold separately at launch.

The game is up for pre-order on the eShop, with the base game at $59.99 USD. The deluxe edition is $69.99 and comes with a digital artbook and soundtrack (all available separately), while the premium edition costs $89.99 and comes with everything in the deluxe set plus several cosmetic sets.

Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2

SEGA’s action RPGs Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 are coming to Switch 2 on November 13th. While the first Yakuza Kiwami already came out on the original Switch last year, this new Switch 2 edition will have enhanced visuals and performance. If you bought the Switch release, you can avail of a Switch 2 upgrade pack at a discount, VGC reports.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven‘s Switch 2 edition is out now. You may want to grab it digitally soon, as it’s on sale for 30% off ($34.99 USD) until August 14th. The game was released last year for the Switch, PlayStation, and PC.

The Switch 2 edition brings the following improvements:

  • Visual improvements featuring high-resolution graphics: TV Mode max. 1440p, handheld mode max. 1080p
  • Improved framerate for a smoother experience: Max. 60 FPS
  • Decreased loading times for more seamless play
