GungHo and Nihon Falcom have released a demo for Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. It is currently available for PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, with Nintendo Switch expected at a later date.
It was also confirmed that Trails in the Sky Chapter 1st Chapter will have a native Nintendo Switch 2 version, which Switch owners can avail of via a $1 USD upgrade pack.
Players can try out the game’s prologue, where protagonists Estelle and Joshua begin their journey to become bracers across Liberl’s Rolent region, acting as adventurers and hired hands for the local communities. An accompanying trailer was also released, showcasing the game’s opening movie. Check out below!

Players who try out the demo will be able to transfer their save data to the full game upon release.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is a full-scale remake of the first entry in The Legend of Heroes: Trails series. It was originally released for PC in 2004 and was later ported to the PlayStation Portable in 2011, marking its debut outside Japan. This first entry introduces players to Zemuria, the series’ primary setting, and kicks off a slow-burning narrative integrated with thoughtful turn-based combat. As someone who held hope that the first entry in the series would be ported beyond both PC and portability, it’s been 14 years in the waiting. Now, it seems adventuring once again in Liberl awaits for new and old fans alike when Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter releases on September 19th for PS5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC via Steam.
