Falcom is sprucing up Ys X: Nordics, the latest entry in the long-running series. Launching in early 2026 in the west, the enhanced version Ys X: Proud Nordics will include several upgrades and new features to lure in previous players and new timers. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam.

While the upgrade includes new mechanics and challenges, including a nail-bitingly hard new dungeon, Ys X: Proud Nordics also includes a new storyline. The new story, taking place on the Isle of Mystery, has you teaming up with Canute and Astrid, the Shield Siblings, as you unravel the, well, mystery surrounding the island. The new addition will be added naturally into the game.
