Nintendo has announced Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, due out in 2026 for the Switch 2.
This new entry in the long-running strategy RPG series debuted at the end of the latest Nintendo Direct. Check out the trailer below to get a feel for the story and main characters, as well as a glimpse of Fire Emblem‘s classic grid-based combat system.
By the way, fans of Three Houses ought to watch until the end.
The Heroic Games have begun. The newest entry in the Fire Emblem series is set to enter the arena. The debut trailer provided a glimpse of the intertwining story, characters and turn-based tactical RPG gameplay that awaits players when the game launches for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

So, that was Sothis at the end, right? If this is a sequel to Three Houses I’m going to faint. Side note, I kind of dig the Roman/Gladiator aesthetic they’re going for.
I’m definitely looking forward to learning more about this game as we head into 2026, which is when Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is expected to release for Switch 2.
