Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy Announced for iOS, Android in 2026

Square Enix has announced that the iconic Dissidia franchise will receive a new entry, Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, set to release for iOS and Android devices sometime in 2026.

This time, the story unfolds in modern Tokyo, where legendary Final Fantasy warriors assemble to save the world from destruction. Expect action-packed three-vs-three battles where players race to defeat the boss faster than the opposing team. Check out the teaser trailer below:


Players in the United States and Canada can sign up for a limited closed beta test on Android via the game’s official website. Square Enix has confirmed that there will be 20,000 available spots, all on Android. While submitting an application does not guarantee entry, the registration period for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy will end on October 28th. The closed beta will run from November 6th to November 14th.

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy takes the form of a 3v3 team boss battle arena. Two teams of three characters face off in an arena, competing to defeat the boss before the other team does. Set in Tokyo, the game brings together iconic fighters from across the Final Fantasy series, such as Cloud, Kain, and Prompto. As for the story, monsters have once again appeared from nowhere to threaten humanity, and it’s up to these heroes to stop them.

To celebrate the announcement and upcoming closed beta, the game’s official social media accounts are hosting giveaways. Twenty players will be randomly selected from Facebook and X (Twitter) to win Amazon gift cards.

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is scheduled to release in 2026 for iOS and Android, and it will be free to play. You can learn more on the official website, and remember to apply for the closed beta before October 28th if you’re interested!
