Marvelous Games has announced that Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is being released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The two new console versions will drop on February 13th, 2026, after previously releasing on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC earlier this year. The newest release trailer can be viewed below.

A New Rune Factory Adventure

Guardians of Azuma’s release on PlayStation 5 has been speculated since trophies for the game leaked earlier this month via Exophase, a trophy tracking website.

The game will be available in multiple editions for the new consoles, including a standard physical versions, with Amazon offering exclusive pre-orders for the PS5 standard release. For those looking for more, the digital deluxe edition will feature a “Seasons of Love Bundle”, “Festive Attire and Dark Woolby Bundle”, and a digital soundtrack and artbook. Additionally, all digital versions of the game will include the Rune Factory 4 Hero Outfit Bundle.

Here is a description of the game from Marvelous:

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma takes players on an all-new adventure in the country of Azuma, a never-before-seen part of the world steeped in Eastern culture. Here, players will assume the role of an Earth Dancer destined to return hope—and life—to the once-thriving land. Choose from one of two protagonists whose fates are closely tied together, and experience reimagined and expanded Rune Factory gameplay; as an Earth Dancer, players will farm with grace, restore and build entire villages, and fight with new weapons like the Bow and Talismans. Azuma is a vast world to explore with majestic villages to uncover, each taking inspiration from Japanese culture and each with a seasonal theme. In addition to exploration, combat, and village-building, players will also cultivate relationships with the locals, recruiting them to your side in battle or to help manage the villages. Wield sacred treasures of the gods and the Earth Dancer’s power of dance to purify the land and return Azuma to its former glory. The adventure of a new world awaits.
