During the latest Sony State of Play, Moon Studios announced that No Rest for the Wicked will release in its 1.0 state for PlayStation 5 and PC during October, ending its tenure in Early Access two and a half years after its initial release. A brief trailer accompanied the announcement, showcasing its brutal isometric real-time combat, painterly aesthetic, and snapshots of its story. Check it out below!

Moon Studios has confirmed that the full release of the game will bring an additional sixty hours of content to No Rest for the Wicked, bringing up its potential total playtime to over a hundred hours. In that length, players will be able to explore over 15 handcrafted regions, an overhauled progression system and combat flexibility, the final arc of the story of Isola Sacra, all linked together with optional crossplay multiplayer between consoles and PC.
Additionally, Moon Studios has unveiled the Founders Pack, a collection of unique gameplay, status, and access rewards to be given at launch to those who helped shape the game during Early Access. For a detailed look at what those rewards might entail, check out an official synopsis below:
The journey to 1.0 would not have been possible without the incredible support of our Early Access community.
As a thank you to everyone who joins us before July 10th, 2026, all purchases made during Early Access will be upgraded to the exclusive Founders Pack at no additional cost.
These rewards will become available when Version 1.0 launches:
- Spirit Cavern: Moon Studios’ legacy now lives inside No Rest for the Wicked. Founders will receive access to an exclusive hand-crafted hideout that bridges worlds and serves as a unique home within Isola Sacra.
- Sayer’s Vow: A one of a kind, mysterious sword that was once lost to time and can only be obtained by Founders.
- Founder’s Tag: Upgrade to a Founder’s tag with a special frame and font, that boasts that you were part of Wicked’s journey before 1.0.
- Founders Test Realm: Even after launch, Founders will gain access to beta tests, giving them an opportunity to help shape future updates before they arrive for everyone else.
Players who own PlayStation consoles seeking to grab the Founders Pack can do so by pre-ordering the game between when pre-orders open and when the game releases.
No Rest for the Wicked puts players in the role of Cerim, a holy warrior sent to the plague-ridden isle of Isola Sacra after the death of her monarch, King Harold. Cerim will journey across Sacra to find a cure for the Pestilence, pitting players against a variety of grotesque enemies, wielding myriad ranged and melee weapons in methodical combat. After her sojourns, Cerim will return to Sacrament, a fortress and safe hub for her to eventually customise and rebuild, bringing safety to the inhabitants of Isola Sacra alongside upgrades for both her weapons and fighting ability.

If you’re curious about what we thought about an earlier build of No Rest for the Wicked, check out Jerry Williams’ 2024 preview.
I’ve been deeply curious about this game since it entered Early Access, arrested by its painterly aesthetic and a fan of the Ori duology. It looks like the time in development has only been a boon, bringing an honestly staggering amount of customisability and experience for players new and old to enjoy come this October. I know that I’ll be picking it up on release, ready to see what secrets of Isola Sacra can be laid bare.
No Rest for the Wicked is available now in Early Access for PC via Steam, at a current 30% discount for the next fortnight. It will be released sometime in October for PlayStation 5 and at an undetermined date for both Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
