Falcom and GungHo Online Entertainment have released a new trailer to promote Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, their upcoming RPG remake. The footage showcases a stylish sizzle reel of what players can expect from Estelle and Joshua Bright’s continuing journey, highlighting cinematic battles, geopolitical strife, and more. As seen above, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter acts as the second entry in the Liberl Arc and overall Trails series, where players will continue and conclude the story of Estelle and Joshua Bright. Players will aid Estelle as she embarks on a new journey rife with geopolitical intrigue and the machinations of secret societies, threaded together with the disappearance of Joshua, her adopted brother. As someone who firmly knows he’ll get to this juggernaut JRPG series in his retirement years, I think it’s great to see its earlier entries remade with such attention, care, and detail. It provides fans, new and old, with stepping stones to experience a series that many in the genre consider beloved.
