For a taste of the pop-punk-adjacent musicality that Stupid Never Dies promises players, the opening and closing themes of the game have been released, sung by the game’s main duo, Julia and Davy:
Stupid Never Dies Opening Theme
Stupid Never Dies Ending Theme
Stupid Never Dies puts players in the shoes of Davy, the weakest zombie in a world sundered by the Great War. In his exploration, he falls in love at first sight with Julia, a frozen college girl found in an abandoned shopping mall. To revive her, he must defeat the King of Monsters and regain humanity’s lost knowledge.
Players will embark on roguelike dungeon runs where Davy will fight against an array of monsters in 3D action RPG combat. Davy can kill elite monsters in battle to consume their cores, unlocking eleven new movesets based on classic monsters, such as Vampire, Golem, or Harpy. With these movesets, players can customise them further into a variety of builds by exchanging body parts for Overtech gear that will increase stats and give both passive and active buffs. Lastly, as a capstone ability, Davy can use his imagination to Burst and warp reality to temporarily increase his abilities.

With a SUDA-51-esque style and toe-tapping tunes, I’m curious to see what Stupid Never Dies brings to the action RPG genre when it releases on October 21st. I think players could do much worse when heading into cooler climes.
