You can check out Morgana’s full report in the video below and read on for more details!
The headquarters of Madicce, a suspicious global IT company lead by the innovative and charismatic Akira Konoe, Osaka harbors many hidden dangers, ultimately pitting the Phantom Thieves against the tough enemies of the impregnable Osaka Jail. Packed to the brim with patrol robots and surveillance cameras, this jail will prove to be one unbelievable undertaking.
At the request of Zankichi Hasegawa, whose daughter, Akane, is a total Phan-girl, the Phantom Thieves make a stop in the old capital, Kyoto. Even in such a beautiful and historically significant city, peppered with cultural heritage sites like shrines and temples, the Phantom Thieves will find themselves faced with a treacherous jail to explore. In this temple-like jail, full of torii gates which will warp the group to new locations, Zankichi has a strange reaction, awakening his ability to utilize Persona powers.
Along with his Persona, Valjean, Zankichi Hasegawa — code name: Wolf, uses a large sword and twin pistols to fight alongside the Phantom Thieves. He can use “Absorption” to steal HP from enemies or call upon “Berserk” to increase his power at the expense of his own health, using risk and reward to topple his foes.
Finally, fans looking forward to jumping into the action can experience a downloadable demo for the game, which will be available via the Japanese PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop beginning on February 6th. A launch event livestream is also planned to coincide with the game’s release later in the month, with details to be revealed closer to the event.
Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on February 20th in Japan.
