Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Adds New Battle System in Future Connected

As we draw ever closer to Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition’s release date, more and more information about the game comes to light. Earlier this week, we were graced with new screenshots and now we have new information about the Future Connected epilogue.

According to the Japanese download card found in retailers, Xenoblade Chronicles Future Connected will include a new battle system that includes Nopon reinforcements. Furthermore, the epilogue will include new maps.

As previously reported, Xenoblade Chronicles Future Connected is set a year after the ending of the main game and focuses on Shulk and Melia. You do not need to beat the game in order to start Future Connected; you can play it whenever you please.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition launches for Nintendo Switch on May 29th. Stay tuned to RPGFan as we learn more!
