The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope Showcases Its Story, Influences, and Characters in New Developer Diary

Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Supermassive Games have released the first in a series of developer diaries focusing on The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope, the second entry in a reported eight of standalone interactive horror experiences. The developer diary hones in on what players can expect in terms of tone, story and character within Little Hope. Check it out below!

Narrated by Pete Samuels, the CEO of Supermassive Games, the video details what The Dark Pictures continues to be in Man of Medan, its previous release, and in subsequent releases: intense and interactive horror games, all set in different places and rooted within mythological and real-world veins of terror. Little Hope continues this trend, set in modern times, following four college students stranded with their professor within Little Hope, an abandoned town laced with mystery, paranoia and danger, inspired by literary and cinematic influences that deal with the Salem Witch Trials of the 17th century.

Little Hope, alongside all other releases in The Dark Pictures Anthology, will support couch co-op play, a 2 player shared online story mode, and Movie Mode, where 5 players can each control a single character as all play through the story together. As with Supermassive’s previous releases, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope will support branching storylines and radically different endings, depending on who lives, who dies, and the choices that players take throughout the narrative.
