Sega has announced that the latest entry in the Yakuza series, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, will be launching day and date with Microsoft’s next-gen hardware, the Xbox Series X. Thanks to the upcoming Smart Delivery feature, players who purchase the title on Xbox One will also be entitled to the Xbox Series X version at no additional cost, meaning you won’t need to pay twice for a ticket to protagonist Kasuga Ichiban’s shirtless gun show. Players who begin their adventure on Xbox One hardware won’t need to start over with Kasuga’s early hardships, as cross-save functionality will be supported with both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions. You can check out the latest trailer for Yakuza: Like A Dragon below, which premiered during today’s Inside Xbox presentation.

Pre-orders for the special “Day One Edition” of Yakuza: Like A Dragon are already live on several major retailers in the U.S., though details about the included early purchase incentives have yet to be revealed.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon will release in 2020 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC via Steam. For more on Yakuza: Like a Dragon, be sure to check out our previous coverage, and stay tuned for more updates leading up to the game’s launch later this year.
