Coming This Week, 6/1/20

Hello, dear readers, and welcome back to another installment of Coming This Week with RPGFan. As always, we hope you’ve been staying safe and healthy! We’re back with another set of new games to ring in the month of June. On we go!

Dead Cells – June 3rd (Android)

Viva la Metroidvania! 2018’s well-received side-scrolling roguelike action RPG extravaganza Dead Cells will be available for Android devices via the Google Play store this week. The game had been available on Apple devices prior to this, so it’s nice to see Android users getting in on the action. If you want to know what we thought of the original release, be sure to check out our review by Bob Richardson!

The Outer Worlds – June 5th (Switch)

How much Fallout could… fall… out… if Obsidian… okay, forget this. The point is that Obsidian made the good Fallout games and then went and made their own original IP banking on that legacy. The Outer Worlds saw critical and commercial success upon its release last year, and is now finally arriving on the Nintendo Switch. A slight graphical hit doesn’t change the fact that this is an engrossing RPG well worth your time (there’s a reason it earned an Editor’s Choice award from us)! Be sure to read Jonathan Logan’s review to learn more.

And that’s a wrap, folks! Stay tuned to RPGFan for more coverage of your favorite role-playing games. We’ll catch you next time.
