Monster Hunter Rise Teases New Gameplay In TGS 2020 Online Stream & Trailer

Capcom has unveiled new gameplay for Monster Hunter Rise at the Tokyo Game Show 2020 within the Capcom Special Program stream, showcasing specific mechanics unique to this next iteration in the Monster Hunter canon: the Wirebug and the Palamute companion. Check out the information in the video below, with the Wirebug being discussed from timestamp 28:13 to 29:29 and the Palamute showcased from 30:41 to 31:30!

As seen above, players will have the opportunity to explore Kamura Village, the setting of Monster Hunter Rise, in aerial flair with the Wirebug, allowing players to maximise movement both in and out of combat. The Palamute will allow players to traverse areas in puppy-orientated style, the canine companion able to join the protagonist in battle against monsters myriad. Alongside showcasing the new gameplay systems, Capcom also released another trailer specifically for the Tokyo Game Show 2020, similar to the one that announced the game via Nintendo Direct.
