Square Enix has released a new collection of screenshots from NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, the upcoming remaster of the original NieR (though not the one released in the West), developed by Toylogic. The game follows the exploits of Nier, a young man seeking to help rid his sister of an illness known as the Black Scrawl, and the journey that unfolds as a consequence. Check out the new screenshots below, showcasing various environments within the game that sparkle and shine!
NieR and its sequel NieR: Automata hold a deeply special place in my heart, alongside many members of our staff, and it looks like this remaster is set to deliver on quality, in its visuals and gameplay, when it arrives for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 21st in Japan, and PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC systems on April 23rd, 2021 in Europe and North America.
