Celebrate NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…’s Release With a Launch Trailer!

Kaine, a protagonist of NieR Replicant, looks at the player with brown eyes and long white hair framing her face.

It’s finally here! NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, the long-awaited rerelease of 2010’s NieR, launches today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. This enhanced version gives a once-misunderstood cult classic the attention it deserves with upgraded graphics, tweaked combat, and more, and allows fans of NieR: Automata to discover what came before.

If you’re sitting at home excitedly waiting for your copy right now, Square Enix have just dropped an accolades trailer to tell you just how good the game is. Y’know, just to make the wait even more unbearable. My White Snow Edition is staring at me right now, and while I’ve got other games to play, I’m already considering a replay. Anyway, check the trailer out and see why so many critics have fallen in love with the game:

As a fan of both games, I’m so incredibly excited to see NieR get a second chance, and watch as new fans fall in love with the story and the characters. There’s really no other game like this with a story as poignant and personal that’ll make you laugh and cry in equal measure. I’ve written an entire review covering just why this game “…makes me think and feel more than most others.” So if you’re picking this up for the first time, you’re in for a treat, because despite its flaws and dated design, it’s something special.

This definitely won’t be the last you hear on NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… from us (or at least me), so make sure you keep checking back here to see what else this series has in store for us!
