Bravely Default is heading to a mobile phone near you! In honor of the series’ 10th anniversary, Square Enix announced Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights, an RPG for Android and iOS devices.

Watch the premiere Japanese trailer below:

Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights once again brings back the Brave and Default turn-based battle system. The graphics are reminiscent of the recent Bravely Default II with art and character designs by series mainstay Raita Kazama. Furthermore, Keiichi Ajiro returns from Bravely Default and Bravely Second as scenario writer.

Though the game is free-to-play with in-game item purchases, characters from previous Bravely titles won’t be blocked behind gacha mechanics or a rarity system.

Lastly, we have a few screenshots available courtesy of Dengeki Online:

Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights does not have a release date yet, but a closed Android beta is planned for Japan soon. In other news, Square Enix reported that the series has sold over 3 million copies both physically and digitally!
