Xenoblade fans, rejoice! At the tail end of Nintendo’s most recent Direct, the company showcased a trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 3! It exists!

Don’t let me stop you! Check out the announcement trailer below:

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is bringing the worlds of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 together in a brand new adventure! Staff from previous games return, such as Tetsuya Takahashi as Executive Director, Masatsugu Saito from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as character designer, and returning composers Yasunori Mitsuda, Manami Kiyota, ACE (TOMOri Kudo, CHiCO), Kenji Hiramatsu, and Mariam Abounnasr.

Also, Koichi Mugitani (aka CHOCO), was announced to have done key art for the game, though it hasn’t been revealed yet. He has previously created designs for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and the Xenosaga series.

The story centers around the journey of six characters hailing from warring nations of the mechanical technology-focused Keves and the ether magic-focused Agnus. Protagonists Noah and Mio lead this journey in a story that uses “life” as its central theme.

Nintendo describes the six protagonists (pictured above respectively):

Noah: One of the protagonists of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and a solider of Keves. Noah is also an “off-seer” who mourns for soldiers who’ve lost their lives on the battlefield.

Mio: The other protagonist of this story, Mio is a soldier of Agnus and an off-seer like Noah.

Eunie: A childhood friend of Noah and Lanz who has a sharp tongue and rough personality. She specialises in healing her allies in battle.

Taion: A tactician who flights alongside Mio using his smarts and insight.

Lanz: An ally of Noah’s who wields a great sword that doubles as a shield.

Sena: This soldier is an ally of Mio and Taion. Despite her petite figure, Sena’s wields immense physical strength!

Take a look at the chaos and beauty of the game in these brand new screenshots:
