A Soul Hackers Website Is Counting Down To Something

Atlus is up to something with Soul Hackers, the second entry in the Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner subseries, as an official countdown website relating to the game has surfaced. You’ll find the following text when you open the website:

Hello HUMAN
We want to collect your information
> Checking device compatibility
> Notice: Please, do NOT take your hands off the device
> Call “Soul Hack”
> Sequence start

Its corresponding Twitter account posted a series of tweets hinting at events leading up to the end of the countdown, on February 21, 8:00 PM JST.

The first of these “sequences” was an interactive livestream where viewers were invited to answer three questions posed onscreen. You can find more information on the contents of the stream over at Gematsu.

My bets are on either a PC/console port, some kind of sequel, or both(?!). Either would be a big win, considering that the Nintendo 3DS eShop will soon shut down and physical copies of Soul Hackers aren’t easy or cheap to procure.
