Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake on Pause, Won’t Release Until 2025 (Possibly)

Darth Revan lights up his lightsaber in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake.

The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake announced last year for PlayStation 5 has been “delayed indefinitely,” according to Jason Schreier at Bloomberg. Development studio Aspyr had been working under a late 2022 release deadline, but now says 2025. Employees were told that the studio would need to take on more contract work before development would resume, which probably means the game had shot way over budget. Also, two directors were reportedly fired after Lucasfilm and Sony previewed gameplay, which… oof.
