Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal Animated Series Debuts October 7th in Japan

The Legend of Mana Remaster sure is pretty.

A legendary RPG is spreading its tale to anime very soon! Square Enix has announced that the anime adaptation of Legend of Mana, titled Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal, premieres in Japan on October 7th. The series will debut during MBS’ (Mainichi Broadcasting System) and TBS’ (Tokyo Broadcasting System) “Super Animeism” programming block at 1:25 AM JST.

The anime is being produced by two studios: Graphinica and Yokohama Animation Lab, both of which collaborated on the opening video of the remastered Legend of Mana. The soundtrack is being composed by none other than the game’s original composer, Yoko Shimomura, and the series is directed by Masato Jinbo (Restaurant to Another World) with character designs by Taro Ikegami (Lapis Re:LiGHTs) based on HACCAN’s original art.

Currently, there are no official English streaming rights for Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal. Will the anime live up to the legend of the game? Stay tuned to RPGFan for everything Mana!
