Canadian indie developer Sabotage Studio revealed that Sea of Stars releases for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One at launch, August 29th, alongside other announced platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.

The developer responded to tweet inquiries and expressed that Xbox players can look forward to a physical release of the game. Pre-order details for the Xbox physical versions will be announced soon. On another note, Steam users can also anticipate playing this smoothly on their handhelds since it’s also confirmed to be Steam Deck verified.

In addition to this announcement, the game is featured on the front cover of Game Informer’s March issue. I mean, just look at how gorgeous Bryce Kho’s art is below. It’s pure chef’s kiss.

Being one of RPGFan’s most anticipated games of 2023, we have covered Sea of Stars extensively in our official game hub. I played the hour-long demo on the Switch a month ago, and all I could say was that I’m thrilled for its August release. In case you missed it, our deep dive hands-on preview by Caitlin Argyros is a must read for RPG classic fans who are eyeing this title.
