Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Milan have unveiled the third and final DLC for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, showcasing the return of beloved platformer hero Rayman. The DLC, titled Rayman in the Phantom Show, will launch on August 30th exclusively for Nintendo Switch. Check out the zany trailer below!

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope – DLC 3 Reveal Trailer

The DLC acts as a separate adventure to the main campaign of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and teams up Rayman, Rabbid Peach, and Rabbid Mario as they find themselves stranded within the Space Opera Network—a television studio headed by a ghostly foe known as the Phantom. The three protagonists must work together to find a way free from the entanglements of the Phantom, as he desperately seeks to use their star power to bring himself and the Network a rise in ratings and glory.

Players will control Rayman, Rabbid Peach, and Rabbid Mario in combat across a set of tactical maps using TV sets as scintillating backdrops. Rayman will give players new aspects of verticality and combat based on his abilities across his history in video games, including using his hair as helicopter blades to fly, throwing his hovering hands as rocket punches, and firing plunger blasters with unerring accuracy. Additionally, David Gasman will return as the voice actor for Rayman with Christophe Heral (Rayman OriginsRayman Legends) and Grant Kirkhope composing the soundtrack for Rayman in the Phantom Show.

As someone who adores Rayman, it’s wonderful to see him appear in a franchise that fits him like a (hovering) glove. I’m curious to see how Rayman in the Phantom Show will evolve the combat of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. I imagine I’m not alone in that. It’s good, goofy fun for all ages and sometimes, that’s all we need in life!
