Level-5 announced during its recent Vision 2023 showcase that it is now targeting a 2024 launch for DecaPolice to spend more time ensuring its content’s quality and quantity. The studio first announced in February that the crime suspense RPG would be released sometime in 2023.

Watch the game’s segment in the showcase beginning at the 38:23 mark below.

The game takes place in the open world of Broadstone, a crime-ridden glitzy metropolis. Decasim, on the other side, is a virtual replica of Broadstone that reveals memories of every crime that occurs. Level-5 said they want to ensure plenty of explorable locations within the game and that each is full of surprises. There have been many open-world games in the past with barren environments and repeated assets; players undoubtedly don’t want to see that kind of output from Level-5.
