With that, we now have confirmation that Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will be coming out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
We last heard about the game in November 2023, when series creator Yuji Horii stated that development was progressing smoothly. Amid project casualties from Square Enix’s new business strategy, some fans are openly asking about the status of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, especially with the company recently affirming that Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate is still in the works.
So, might we expect more news around Summer Game Fest? That starts on June 7th, and Microsoft is doing an Xbox Games Showcase on the last day, June 9th. We also know a Nintendo Direct is coming sometime that month covering the Switch’s lineup through the end of 2024. And then there are rumors that Sony will be putting out a State of Play very soon…
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is coming to PS5, XSX, Switch, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. Square Enix could very well reveal more about this game in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to RPGFan for news as it comes!
