One of the trailers that premiered during the recent Game Awards 2024 showed a new look at 2023’s Best Independent Game, Dave the Diver. The action adventure with management and roguelike elements by developer Mintrocket returns with the In the Jungle DLC, which will be released in late 2025. Get a first look at the trailer below.
Dave the Diver in the past has gotten free and paid DLCs of collaborations and many crossovers with other IPs such as Godzilla, Dredge, Balatro, Potion Craft, and Guilty Gear Strive. Based on what we’ve seen so far, the In the Jungle DLC seems to be a bigger expansion than these crossovers in terms of content. The description in their official trailer does say, “A whole new world awaits—right “in the JUNGLE.”

Dave the Diver: In The Jungle DLC arrives in late 2025. The base game is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Our own Niki Fakhoori speaks about this gem on how much it surprised her overall in her Switch review last year. I enjoyed my time with it too and would admit that the gameplay loop was quite addicting—enough that I aimed to complete all Steam achievements.
