New Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Trailer Teases New Characters, Mechs, and More

Elma looks out on all the upgrades coming to Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.

There’s something about this planet, or rather, there’s something about this remaster! Nintendo has dropped another trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, painting a more vivid picture of what’s new and improved from the Wii U original. While we won’t see a special edition this time, Nintendo is giving some bonuses for people who purchase the game within a certain time.

Nintendo teases a new area, story, characters, and more in the latest trailer below:

Just looking at the trailer, you can easily see changes to the UI and text to give the game a cleaner experience. We also see glimpses of new characters and mechs to add even more content. Neither Nintendo nor Monolith Soft has released a list of changes yet, but Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition already looks light-years better than the original!

Also, as reported by X/Twitter user Wario64, the game has pre-order items available through the eShop and GameStop. The early purchase bonus, the Exploration Support Pack, includes the following items:

  • Survival Armor Series
  • Advanced Storm Assault Rifle
  • Advanced Iron Knife
  • 11 Augments
  • 100,000 credits

To qualify for the digital version, you must purchase by 11:59 pm PT on April 6th. Via GameStop, you’ll receive the bonus code via email for online pre-orders, or you’ll receive it at the time of final purchase for store pre-orders. If you miss out on the early bonus, no need to fret: all of these items can be acquired while playing the game normally.
