The latest trailer for The Blood of Dawnwalker has confirmed the dark fantasy-themed action RPG will launch in 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Shown at the recent Xbox Games Showcase, the trailer gave us a sneak peek of pre-beta gameplay, as well as a fairly comprehensive look at the story, which follows a Dawnwalker (human-vampire hybrid) named Coen. We get to see how he turned, and it’s pretty intense. Check it out below.
Developer Rebel Wolves (led by ex-CD Projekt Red developers) and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment have even more The Blood of Dawnwalker in store for us this month. On June 21st at 12pm PDT, we’re getting a 45-minute presentation on Twitch, featuring 15 minutes of new gameplay footage accompanied by commentary. The date choice is a bit cheeky; it’s the summer solstice, during which the northern hemisphere experiences its longest day while the southern one has its longest night.
The upcoming 45-minute solstice livestream will shed more light on several key gameplay features already hinted at in the above trailer, including the directional combat system that blends swordfighting, spells, and vampiric powers. The developers will also demonstrate how players navigate Vale Sangoraâs diverse locations and further explore the game world and highlight the gameplay differences between day and night, which will have a significant impact on the story and its course.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Overview
The Blood of Dawnwalker is the first chapter of Rebel Wolvesâ original dark fantasy saga. Fourteenth-century Europe is engulfed in chaos â bloody wars tear the continent apart, and the Black Death claims a deadly toll. This moment of weakness is seized by a clique of powerful vampires. The time of great change is coming â for everyone.
Play as Coen â a young man who has become a Dawnwalker â a being no longer fully human, yet not entirely a vampire. With just 30 days and nights to save Coenâs family or exact bloody revenge on his sire, regardless of the consequences or the cost of Coenâs thirst for blood. But the most important question for players remains: is it worth sacrificing your humanity for the ones you love?
