Outersloth and developer Trinket Studios have announced that their mech-focused card RPG Battle Suit Aces will launch on October 7th for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
As reported by Gematsu, a new trailer accompanied the announcement, showcasing a short burst of card-battling, mechas of all shapes and sizes, and some of the anime-infused adventures players might encounter planetside and starward. Check it out below!
Battle Suit Aces – Release Date Announcement
Originally revealed in June 2024, Battle Suit Aces focuses on the journey of the USS Zephyr, manned by captain Heathcliff and a stalwart, fully voiced crew who seek ancient mecha artifacts across the stars. Along the way, players will uncover and grow relationships, modify and upgrade their cards, and plot new routes to adventure. Each turn, deploy your hand-picked pilots to the Battle Line. Decide who should attack the incoming monsters, shield your Ship, or be swapped out for a fresh Battle Suit.
Will you hit every enemy at once with the boisterous Daciana or target the heart of the problem with the analytical Yan? Pilot abilities play off each other, inviting you to try new pilot and mod combinations against ever-evolving foes.

Between missions, spend time on your bustling ship. Get to know your endearing crew over a meal, practice card synergies in the Sim Chamber, craft handy Drones, install powerful mods in your favorite cards, upgrade your ship to support your pilots in battle, handle Faction bounties, and plot a course to your next mission.
Mod and battle slots are limited, so prepare carefully. You’ll need a varied deck to counter Battle Suit Aces’ suite of villains, who have dangerous abilities and synergies of their own. Your unique build and deployment strategy lets you maximize impact and time with your favorite crewmembers.
Battle Suit Aces Screenshots
Coming off Battle Chef Brigade, Trinket Studios seems to be fusing a heady mix of mecha, roguelite gameplay, and deckbuilding to create something special. Mecha-head that I am, I’ll definitely try this immediately upon its release in early October! The sketch-like line-art and vibrant colouring of its characters in the cockpit alone call to mind shades of Gurren Lagann. Evoking that can only be a good thing!
