Fellow Traveller and solo developer Jump Over The Age have revealed fungalpunk RPG Signet City, which is currently in development for PC via Steam. The announcement came via the PC Gaming Show 2026, alongside a brief trailer showcasing monochrome cityscapes amidst mushrooms mutating. Check it out below!
Signet City Reveal Trailer
The trailer is set to the song “Abandon” by Irish punk band SPRINTS. Publisher Fellow Traveler commented that this music choice was made as the song “is rooted in the same underground culture inspiring the game.”
Signet City puts players in the first-person perspective role of an unnamed fungal parasite infecting the streets and influencing the minds of those who live in the titular coastal Signet City. As both parasite and hosts, players will utilise tabletop RPG mechanics, influenced by a host’s emotions, to change the City’s path, history, and people.
In a press release, the City is touted as a place where “Fungal systems shape the philosophy, politics, visual language, and social structure of the world…” and that it acts as an adjacent vision of our world, where it “…mirrors and distorts the familiar struggles of labour, power, and ecological crisis.” For a deeper synopsis on its mechanics and influences, check out below:
First Person Fungalpunk RPG
Experience a narrative RPG from a completely new perspective. Go behind the eyes of your hosts and change their fate, one pivotal day at a time.
A City Seeded With Stories
The Signet City is in crisis, its citizens trapped in a vortex of ecological collapse, governmental overreach and strange, rampant technologies. Witness their struggle as both tensions and waters rise.
A Dark Dream of the 1980s
Inspired by the turbulent 1980’s of the UK and the iconic industrial cities of the North, Signet City is a post-punk fever dream unlike anything you have seen before.
Drowned in Ink and Grain
Handcrafted by developer Jump Over the Age, and drawing on black and white documentary photography, screentoned manga, and pen and ink drawings, this city pulses with monochrome beauty.

For RPGFan’s thoughts on Jump Over The Age’s previous sci-fi duology, check out Aleks Franiczek’s duo of reviews, that of Citizen Sleeper and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector.
As a fan of Gareth Damian Martin’s (the solo developer at Jump Over The Age) previous games, I’m deeply curious to see how Signet City will utilise tabletop mechanics and intentional narrative choice set against the last season of mycelial-maddened metropolis. If the high quality of their previous work is anything to judge by, it will be well worth playing when Signet City releases. The game doesn’t yet have a release date, and so far, the only announced platform is Windows PC via Steam.
