7th Dragon Limited Soundtrack fragment

Review by · July 3, 2009

Five unused tracks from Yuzo Koshiro’s score for 7th Dragon were published as a limited edition bonus with the DS game in Japan. The music is DS sound source, not “8-bit retro,” in nature.

There’s a reason why these songs were cut from the game. In my opinion, there isn’t much interesting content to be found here. But Koshiro-nuts will go after it anyway for the sake of completion. Speaking of completion, following hints in the booklet that came with this CD leads to a hidden website with nine additional tracks to download.

Should you add this to your collection, or come across it by other means, you’ll be hearing some bits of music that could’ve been in 7th Dragon but weren’t.
