Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome Soundtrack

Review by · June 13, 2006

This soundtrack was released in the US by NIS America as a bonus soundtrack for the game Makai Kingdom.

Released in Japan as the “Phantom Kingdom Arrange Album,” the only difference between this printing and the Japanese printing is the lack of packaging and some slight differences in the track names.

If you read our reviews of the Japanese print, you’ll discover that this album is, indeed, one of the best arrange soundtracks NIS has ever released. The multitude of composers makes for a highly enjoyable and wild ride.

If you are ever given the opportunity to attain this album, be it the American or Japanese print, take that opportunity. The music is solid, and it is much unlike your standard RPG themes (you won’t hear stuff like this in any Final Fantasy, I guarantee it).
