Music From Ys II Renewal

Review by · August 27, 2000

It’s Ys…It’s Ys II…It’s “Renewed”…Ahh! Ys II Renewal! Hmm…Leaves a bitter aftertaste…

Basically, Ys II Renewal is a “futuristic” or at least “more modern” version of the OST, still using synth music. It isn’t bad by any means…But I’ve never liked music from Ys II very much anyway, so my opinion is biased. If you own “Music from Ys II” and enjoyed it, but don’t own this CD…Then I’d like to say “What’s wrong with you?” and then continue to say “Buy it, crazy!”

Ys II Renewal can no longer be found at any stores (GMO once had a limited stock; they have since run out). My personal recommendation is that you not bother picking up this one. There are better Ys albums, and there are plenty of options in the Falcom world of music, no?
