Perfect Collection Ys I•II Super Arrange Version

Review by · December 27, 2005

Welcome to the less popular half.

When Falcom ran their 4th “Millenium Series” reprints, they split up Perfect Collection Ys and Perfect Collection Ys II in a whole new way, so that completionists would have to re-own the albums in a whole new setting. The first discs from the two albums made it to the “Ryo Yonemitsu” reprint…the leftovers got dumped here. What are on the leftovers?

Well, you have cheesy 80s style vocal tracks, semi-cheesy “New Age” tracks, not-as-cheesy JDK Band rock tracks, and that’s about it. It’s not all bad though. Actually, I like a lot of these songs quite a bit, especially from the first disc. Ruins of Moondoria and Endless History are both absolute classics. You simply must get your hands on them.

Well, you may not. Even though this two disc set is a reprint, it quickly became quite unavailable, so you may never find it. I would personally recommend finding the older prints if you can, but if not, this album will do well, but only as a supplement to the far superior Yonemitsu collection.
