Sakura Taisen Teigeki Kayou Zenshuu (Complete Songs Collection) is the first ever CD of the endless lineup of Sakura Taisen CDs. It consists of 9 character songs, plus the trademark opening and ending songs. The character songs in question are the ones that can be heard during each character’s ending, and are of course sung by their respective voice actresses (and yes, Iris sings in her childish voice).
While vocal albums sometimes have a reputation of being sloppy, this is definitely not the case here. The songs, while not very original, are well-executed and sung; the lyrics match the characters well, and the CD offers some variety. The style of the songs is definitely anime, so anyone who doesn’t enjoy the genre should stay away from this CD. Overall, this is a very good CD to get, if you’re into anime-style vocal CDs.
