Why should a single, with only a few songs, have a variety of confusing album titles printed all over it? That’s what I wanted to know when I picked up this single. I still don’t have an answer to my question.
What I do have, on the other hand, are three fun-filled songs from Chiaki Fujita, the musical mind behind Flight-Plan’s “Summon Night” series. On this single, we get the opening theme song, the ending theme song, and an instrumental track (technically listed as “Labylinth” since they didn’t care to brush up on their Engrish).
The best track among these is, hands down, the ending theme “Lovelite.” Listen to the sample: it’s good stuff. The same vocalist performed the opening, which is two shades too bright for my liking. As for “Labyrinth,” I’ve mentioned it in another soundtrack review (the generic “Summon Night Soundtrack”). It’s a weird one, to be sure.
I have little else to say about this single. I think it’s more worthwhile to just get the full OST, granted one can even find it nowadays.
