The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Re-Arranged Album

As I started to listen to this album, I was a bit wary to say the least. I am a huge fan of the Zelda series, but I am definitely not a huge fan of techno remixes. I was also pretty apprehensive about them messing with my precious Zelda music. But imagine my shock when I played the CD, and I found out I actually liked it! When all is said and done, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Rearranged album is definitely worth your time.

This CD takes some of the simplest tracks in the game and makes interesting and fun to listen to. Do you remember the music that pops up when an enemy’s approaching? It’s here, and it’s awesome. This song manages to stay away from the repetitive sound that can plague game soundtracks, even though it clocks in at a fairly decent time (almost four and a half minutes). But this is just one example of the great stuff that is on this CD. Some of my other favorites include Lost Woods, Temple of Time, and Kotake and Koume’s Theme.

Now I will admit this soundtrack isn’t a complete masterpiece. However, it’s fun as heck to listen to. If you’re a big fan of Zelda, or of techno, or even of just good music, this is one CD you can’t pass up.
