Valkyrie Profile Voice Mix Arrange

Review by · May 5, 2001

Valkyrie Profile Voice Mix Arrange is the third and final Valkyrie Profile soundtrack CD released by Motoi Sakuraba. It contains yet more remixes of the game’s powerful soundtrack, but integrates the characters’ voice sound clips from the Japanese version of the game. It is important to understand that Voice Mix Arrange is *not* a vocal album with singing and lyrics; instead, it contains remixes with sound clips, such as Valkyrie’s battle yell, “Sono mi ni kizare!”, Lezard Valeth’s line “Ore no tameni!”, and other such recordings woven in with the music. Awkward to describe, but fifteen tracks of pure musical excellence. Knowledge of Japanese definitely helps when listening to this album.

Unlike the OST and Arrange Albums though, Valkyrie Profile Voice Mix Arrange is actually the hardest to find of the three albums. Watching the auctions on eBay or placing a special order with CD Japan or Otaku would probably be your best bet on obtaining a copy.
