Random Encounter 203 – Enjoying the Apocalypse!

A screenshot from Horizon Zero Dawn featuring Aloy looking off into the sunset, and the survivor from Vault 111 from Fallout 4 is beside her.

On this episode of Random Encounter, it’s just Greg and Jono talkin’ about some games of (relative) yore! Greg wrapped up on the stellar Horizon Zero Dawn and shares his final thoughts. This means Greg has time for Chrono Cross, for better or worse! Feeling the bug for Cyberpunk 2077, Jono decided to fill the void with Fallout 4 and many, many, mods that sound awesome! Of course, we can’t ignore that reviews are out on Cyberpunk 2077 and it’s… all over the place. All this and a listener email, so come have a listen!

As a fan of the RPG oeuvre, it seemed only natural that Greg Delmage should join RPGFan on the Random Encounter podcast (and sometimes reviewer)! When not auditioning or doing what he can at RPGFan, Greg enjoys adventuring with his swell partner Annette, helping raise their daughter, and playing many a board and video game! Want to chat all things Nintendo, Final Fantasy or Harvest Moon? Greg is always down.

@23:50 You guys talk about if a FF6 remake should be either a Octopath Traveler style or FF7 Remake style. Personally, I'd like a FF6 remake to take on a Bravely aesthetic and a Chrono Trigger remake to take a Trials of Mana remake visual style.

Those are both lovely suggestions. CT in that ToM engine would be great, with a BIT more details in there.
