Capcom has updated their sales data for the recently released Monster Hunter Rise, which has seemingly taken Nintendo Switch players by storm. Previously, the game was revealed to have cleared four million units, including shipped copies and digital sales, within days of its March 26th launch. In a new update, Capcom has announced that the latest mainline entry in the series has now exceeded a massive five million copies – just one week after launch.

Hot on the heels of the game’s successful release, Hunters will be able to enjoy a free content update which is set to arrive later this month. Monster Hunter Rise is available now on Nintendo Switch, both in stores and on the Nintendo eShop.
