The Game Awards 2022 has passed and it did not disappoint with the reveals (Hades II! Final Fantasy XVI release date!). Even outside of our coverage, I’m pretty excited about the likes of Death Stranding 2 and Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.
It’s alarmingly easy to forget that The Game Awards 2022 has, well, awards, but a lot of trophies were handed out last night. Here’s a list of all of the RPGs (or games that we cover) that bagged gold.
Elden Ring
Elden Ring won four of the seven categories it was nominated for, including the coveted Game of the Year award. It also received the honors for Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best RPG.
Final Fantasy XIV
Final Fantasy XIV won both of the categories it was nominated for: Best Community Support and Best Ongoing Game.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom bagged the Most Anticipated Game award (and a lot of cheers from the crowd).
Other The Game Awards 2022 Winners
- Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope – Best Sim/Strategy Game
- Genshin Impact – Player’s Voice
- As Dusk Falls – Games for Impact
The full list of winners can be found on IGN. Stay tuned to RPGFan for more awards show news!
