Fantasian: Neo Dimension Voyages Onward To Consoles & PC on December 5th

Square Enix and developer Mistwalker have announced that the upcoming console port of Fantasian: Neo Dimension will be released on December 5th, 2024 for PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. The announcement came during the September 2024 State of Play alongside a new stylish trailer showcasing key features, turn-based battle, and story snippets. Check it out below!

Fantasian: Neo Dimension will provide players with full English and Japanese voiceover, 4K graphical support, and an adjusted ‘Normal’ difficulty mode to allow easier immersion into both its story and combat system.

It was originally released as Fantasian, a two-part Apple Arcade-exclusive title in 2021. Directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the game fuses computer-generated imagery with 150+ meticulous hand-crafted dioramas, anchoring it with an extensive soundtrack by Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.

The game puts players in the role of amnesiac Leo who wakes up possessed of his name and a single memory in a world of machines. With that memory to guide him, he witnesses tragedy caused by a virus named mechteria that is destroying the lives, emotions, and stability of the world. In both pursuing knowledge of himself and a way to cure mechteria, he will embark on a journey across myriad dimensions. For a deeper synopsis, check out below:

The Father of FINAL FANTASY, Hironobu Sakaguchi, and renowned composer Nobuo Uematsu return to deliver an original RPG story.

Mechteria—a deathly mechanical infection that robs humans of their emotions and lives—is slowly engulfing the world.

The protagonist Leo awakens with only one memory left to him in a strange land abundant with machines.

The human world, threatened by mechteria… a machine world, filled with mysteries… and the unseen dimensions that lie beyond both.

Using the Warp Device that was left behind, Leo must now embark on an interdimensional journey to reclaim his lost memories and save the world from the mechteria infection.

The key to battle is to manipulate skill trajectories. Draw in as many enemies as you can to efficiently defeat them all!

You’ll face all kinds of unique, powerful foes with a whole range of tricks at their disposal.

■ Field areas

Encounter a myriad of quests and uncover hidden items in the over 150 beautiful field areas that blend handmade dioramas with CG graphics.
