12Riven -the Ψcliminal of integral- Arrange BGM

Review by · April 18, 2008

This five track CD is a promotional goodie for 12Riven and features five arranged tracks of some of the game’s compositions. These arrangements are all dance club mixes of the songs employing various electronica styles such as techno, Eurobeat, and others. As pieces I’d play at a dance party or rave, they’re great. Some like “Integral” deviate a bit from the source material since that track is normally a slower piece, but others like “Paril” remix the source material very well. All in all, I’d say this is a nice promotional goodie since it offers something not available on the OST, and I did like every track. The remixes hold their own outside the context of the game and I would like to hear other remix artists’ takes on Takeshi Abo’s other compositions.
