Tales of Phantasia ~ The Dream Will Not Die

Review by · May 5, 2001

Well, if nothing else, this single makes up for the scarce packaging of the Tales of Phantasia OST, by having character profiles, other artwork, and the game’s COMPOSERS ACTUALLY LISTED (grrr…). This single contains the opening and ending tracks to the Super Famicom version. These songs were re-done for the Playstation, and another single is out for those tracks.

The first two tracks are the actual songs, the next tracks are fun karaoke versions (not much fun to just listen to, though). In comparison to the PSX vocals, I have to say these versions are not nearly as good…but again, this single is a neat little something for Tales fans to have (since the OST is missing these tracks) and again, the packaging is cool. This single can be purchased easily at CD Japan for 1223 yen (about $10.50) plus S&H.
