In honor of Phantasy Star Online‘s 20th anniversary, SEGA’s Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is a complete overhaul of the original PSO2, offered side by side with the original version, allowing players to play both games with the same character. New Genesis does away with PSO2‘s traditional zone-based exploration in favor of a fully open world with night/day cycles, a new combat system, deeper character customization, and new ways to traverse the landscape.
