Final Fantasy XIV

The poor fate of this 1.0 release of Final Fantasy XIV has been well-documented, from our own reviews below, to the excellent documentary by Noclip, and many other sources. The short of it is that Final Fantasy XIV was doomed to failure, but thanks to a staff change, re-prioritization, and an ambitious plan to rebuild the game from the ground up to re-launch it three years later, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn released and delivered what this version never could.
